A couple of weeks ago I talked about my experiences in trying to find the right college for me and I sounded pretty confident in what I was doing. That is no longer the case. Now I only seem to be pretty sure I like this one college, which is down from my original five choices.   What happened is that I started to research my picks and that led to me eliminating a college for one reason or another, and that’s how I ended up with one potential college. On top of all that I keep receiving information about other colleges that I’ve either never even heard of or don’t really see myself attending, so I introduce those letters to my shredder. A lot of colleges also keep calling me and ask me questions about me and if I’d be interested in attending their college at random times of the day, and I can tell that the person at the other end of the line is a student who is just doing this to get some sort of payment. I’m really starting to get overwhelmed because I want to find the ideal college for my major, as well as for me as a person. There are just too many options and things to consider not to mention the deadline looming over my head. It really shouldn’t be this hard to find the right college especially now that I’m going to be a senior because this is the time to make the decision. I laugh at that optimistic and naïve me from a couple of weeks ago that thought picking a college would be a breeze. Please tell me that I’m not the only one having trouble finding the right college?   – Ruben
