Gossip. Such a horrible thing in high school. It can hurt someone for a few days, a few weeks, or life. It is really that bad. It’s best to stay out of it as much as possible. Try not to do things wild in public or tell a major secret to those who you can’t trust. If you do get involved with gossip, get out of it as soon as possible. Here are some tips on what to do and what not to do when there is too much gossip around.   1) Don’t spread gossip in the first place. 2) Don’t continue the gossip 3) If you want to spread gossip, which you’re not supposed to, make sure there is nothing against you. I mean this: this person is talking about a friend of yours behind their back. You feel like you have to tell your friend about what that person was saying right? So you tell them, your friend gets mad and confronts them. Then they have an argument and it ends up coming back to you saying that you were spreading gossip too. Doesn’t work out too well in the end, right? 4) If you do have something to say about yourself, tell someone you trust. If you don’t trust that person that person will tell someone else. That other person will then tell someone else they supposedly trust. So on and so on. Then the whole school knows what you did Not a good idea.   In the end try not to spread gossip that already started or don’t tell your personal business out.   – Tatiana
