As mentioned in the previous entry, someone from our senior class went missing for a day (we attend the same school). For me personally, it felt rather unreal since it was just Tuesday that I was still talking to him but he was gone Wednesday and most of Thursday (he called his brother at around 10 pm). Being his friend, it made me feel horrible that I did not realize that this occurred until Wednesday night when everyone was asking me if I’ve seen him that day — which I had no chance to because I was pulled out of the classes I had with him for other matters. The whole situation just didn’t seem real because he didn’t seem to be the type to just run off and I didn’t even want to think of the other possibilities. I couldn’t believe that it was actually happening even as posters were being put up and announcements were made though I am glad that he made it back safely.   As one who has experienced the anxiety of having a friend go missing, I can’t even start to imagine how worried family members would be in the same situation but I believe that as long as one holds hope, everything will go back to normal soon.   – Vivian
