With Kris Allen walking away as the winner of the latest cycle of American Idol, all seems right in the world. But then of course it would; had Adam Lambert won then something would have been wrong, wouldn’t it? I don’t always think so; I’ve never liked the rumors that he didn’t win because he was supposedly homosexual, but now that he’s confirmed it himself I think it may be the reason that he didn’t win. He says that he kept it hidden because he wanted to be judged on his singing rather than his sexuality. I think that in being forward and making it clear would have been a smarter choice. If he’d done so I think there would have been more of, “Hey, that gay guy can sing!” rather than the constant “Is he gay?”, which detracts from the singing more. It’s true that Kris is just a bit more of the same, and that Adam would have been something strange, albeit a bit more refreshing; sadly, in this light, I’m glad for the competition to have turned out the way it did. It may sound a bit harsh but I think it’s appropriate for someone who wanted to stay in the shadows out of fear can stay there. I think the harshness remain for the public though, with such prejudice. At least such a strange artist made it that far, right? Even if groups that vote the “worst” of the bunch through did get him there. What do you guys think? What got Adam Lambert to the final two?   – Eric

  • i dont know about this but sometimes i think its areal conspiracy and the public votes do not matter…

  • Who thinks Chrystal Bowersox is going to be the next American Idol? I think so since her most recent performance was excellent and one of the finest performances I have yet heard on the show.

  • I really enjoyed the Top 5 Idol group song last night. It was heartbreaking to see Aaron Kelly removed however I think the other singers were better so he had to go!
