I mentioned a cellphone commercial in an earlier post that has average statistics about teens and texting, and how I’m really really cellphone-challenged. But I didn’t need that commercial to make me feel left out of the texting flurry. I see it everyday, everywhere. It’s crazy! There are people who text while they walk (sometimes bumping into people who are carrying groceries, thank you very much!), people who text while they’re in class (well I guess everyone needs something to stop from being bored, right?), people who text while they drive (that’s dangerous!), and then worse of all, people who bike while texting (and without a helmet, too, but that’s another post). I bike regularly, so the last one really makes me wonder just how people manage to do that without getting into an accident. Are they magically hyper-aware of their surroundings, so much so that they don’t even have to look while they’re turning AND texting at the same time? – Allyson
