There’s a cell phone commercial with statistics about how fast teens text. It made me feel like a really, really, really slow typer. It takes me a minute to type just 5 words, even though my phone has a sort-of keyboard. My phone keys and my fingers don’t seem to agree with each other. According to that commercial, I’m really lagging behind on the rest of my peers. I hardly ever text anyone anyway because I don’t have a good monthly texting plan and I admit it, I’m kind of cellphone-challenged. My grandma texts people more often than I do, and without a doubt better/faster than I do. But at least I’m not texting-obsessed. There are people in my life who feel they need to text EVERYTHING at any given moment whenever something even vaguely exciting happens, which seems to be every 5 minutes. Or maybe they want to text someone constantly, then giggle, then text again, then frown, then text again. Continue to text, glue your phone to your hand, whatever, but at least stop for a few minutes when you’re speaking to a real-life person. That’s all I ask! – Allyson
