Fall is in full swing (for people in North America, anyway). Summer has ended, which means no more capris, shorts, and tank -tops (unless you’re one of those joggers who can somehow wear shorts when it’s 25 degrees Fahrenheit outside while the rest of us stare at you in disbelief). Whenever September ends, it also means that I’ve lived another year of my life. October is the month of months, and I’m not just saying that because I was born in October. This is the month wherein we celebrate a bunch of things, among them my birthday, Julie Andrews’ birthday, Hispanic Heritage Month, German-American Day, Filipino American Month, Columbus Day, Halloween, Dental Hygiene Month, Pretzel Month (??), Sarcastic Awareness Month…and so on and so forth. Also, I’ve found out that the flower that represents October is the Calendula, which apparently represents grief and jealousy. That explains so much  about me. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Halloween, Hispanic Heritage Month, Filipino American Month,  Columbus Day, Dental Hygiene month, Sarcastic Awareness Month (like THAT’S gonna happen), and so on! – Allyson
