There has been a lot of controversy over the couple that crashed the White House party this past week. I’m reading the comments that have been made over the issue, and it’s bringing out a lot of people’s frustrations (including that of my own). What annoys me about what happened is that the couple seemed to have wanted to gate-crash to gain enough attention so that they’d get a reality show. After the balloon boy incident, this obsession with getting on reality shows is getting ridiculous. Why are some people so obsessed with becoming famous nowadays by being on a reality show? Some people have always wanted to become famous, but for what they see as their own talents like singing or acting and so on; now people want to be famous for being Joe Schmo. There are even services that provide simulated paparazzi ambushes now for people who really like that kind of attention but aren’t actually famous. It’s ridiculous. – Allyson
