Has anyone else noticed a slight change in their Google searches is the past couple months? I’m not referring to the topics being searched, but the results that are provided to us. The last couple of months when I’ve searched some obscure subject on Google to satisfy a yearning for new information, the results presented to me have caused some great unease. What I mean by this is that amongst the various websites that appear so has a small section that shows Tweets pertaining to that subject. I have already questioned the need for Twitter’s existence numerous times, and the fact that the Tweets of complete strangers now appears on a Google search kills me. Websites have some validity, but Tweets are just random words thrown together when some person is bored. How can Google justify their place in search results? This makes zero sense to me. How can someone’s Tweet help me at all when looking for information? It doesn’t always come up on search results, but every once in awhile I find that small section with a scroll bar shooting Tweets my direction. This needs to be taken car of immediately. – Ruben
