Stress is present in everyone’s lives. People deal with stress in different ways. Some people choose to snack in an attempt to combat stress — which could help, but only if you’re picking the right kind of food; junk food probably isn’t the best choice because it doesn’t give you the energy you need to do what you need to do. Instead snack on healthier items like celery or mixed snack packs. Others may choose to deny the existence of the stress-inducing element but that may cause the stress to become worse as the source of the stress isn’t dealt with. If you could ignore the presence of the feeling of being stressed and deal with the source, it could be helpful but otherwise the stress will continue as long as you don’t address the problem at the core. Some people just freak out and completely lose it in the face of stress. Personally I do that sometimes when I have an exam the next day, then on the day of the exam I transition into the state of “I refuse to recognize the stress” and snack on stuff instead of worrying too much.
