I think that there’s a definite difference between having fun at a party and having “fun” at a party. Underage drinking is just something that can’t be moderated but in the least at best the drinkers could moderate themselves. When I look at people I see two types: the ones that want to fit in, and drink socially, and then the ones who make social occasions just so that they can drink, and the latter I can’t seem to wrap my mind around. It makes me question who is really sober, who’s really thinking clearly. If the only time that you can enjoy yourself and your company is when you’re so out of it that you can enjoy pretty much anything then I think a little reality check might be in order. They may think you’re sober but somewhere in your head you know that you aren’t thinking clearly. It’s their choice though, yet I’m not sure if they’re even sober enough to know that they have other options. Alcohol isn’t the only social in. Can you guys think of alternatives?
