If you love those stiletto shoes, or cute dresses, or trendy leather jackets, you probably share my frustrations in the love-hate relationship with nice clothes, because they cost a good chunk of your wallet. At some point, I wanted to risk all my properties on those pretty things. The truth is, they do not hold much value.

You probably have been to situations where girls (and guys) with dazzling clothing give you a moment of jealousy and admiration. The moment you compare your clothes to theirs, it hurts. But you probably have been to situations where seemingly ordinary people, with ordinary clothes and hairstyles, do something extraordinary that gives you a long lasting impression of respect and admiration. The moment they speak and act, you feel a genuine love and a small bit of shame for not paying attention to them earlier. Those people are leading the world surrounding them. The respect generated from the extraordinary things they do is what will stay on your mind for a long while.

Not those who only care of the way they look.

So choose how you want to be appreciated in this world by choosing the person you want to be. Nice clothes should be relevant with your purposes and resources.
