For starters you are around other people who are interested in the same thing as you, which makes you feel better about what you like to do. It also can make you feel more comfortable about speaking freely about your interests and other things. I’m not saying go join everything to make you feel wanted. That won’t get you as far as picking one or two real close hobbies that you enjoy and feel you can succeed in. I am a junior high student that has excellent grades and plays football for the school as a tight end. We have plenty of after school activities like football, basketball, track, math bowl, science bowl, spelling bee, cooking club, ect. If you can’t find something at school there is always something else like swimming, golf, baseball, and summer camps, and boy scouts. So, go find something that you enjoy it isn’t that hard.
