Each of us forms different ideals of beauty. These are most often, what drives us to excel and triumph. We all know the story. When something difficult is going on keep a hold of something beautiful and it will help you through it. One way of doing this is countering an awful feeling. When you just do not feel satisfaction, you can use memories or creative projects to realign your focus. In addition, if you struggle as I do with controlling your anger, it is useful to have a stock memory or idea or belief that you can hold onto and use as inspiration or a reason not to escalate. I also struggle with anxiety, and this tool of using beauty to aid in clear thinking is especially helpful with this. When I feel overwhelmed, I can take just a moment and picture whatever makes me feel peaceful or keep a goal in mind that gives me something to strive towards. It is a theory of mine that without this beauty none of us would try for anything and that the pain is sometimes a way of reminding us of this beauty. Sometimes even in the worst times just looking at a flower or remembering you can still breathe can mean the difference between utter devastation and triumph. Therefore, I ask this boon of you. Please try to think every day of just one thing you are living for and all the better if you can think of more. In fact, I encourage you to apply as many of these beauties and goals into your thinking as you can because the more time you think about them the less time you have to think about the potentially dreary outcomes.
