When we are learning often times, we come to trouble because we have left out information. Learning mostly needs base layers to be fully understood. First, we build the foundation, and then add on slowly. If we miss a step, the whole of the building could collapse or be faulty. So, my point today is that we need to keep track of our history and focus on being honest. Lies are the biggest hindrance to learning. I gets to me how my schoolbooks chose to brush over and sometimes completely leave out bellicose or undesirable events. If we are ashamed of these events my argument is that we should look at them and not hide them. That is the only way we can change a mistake. If we don’t know what we have done wrong how can we change it? It is very hard to do so consciously and mostly would occur by mistake. I just want to stress to all of you that what you are reading or learning may not be the full truth. Obviously, we can never know the full truth. We can however do our best to figure out what is correct and complete to our knowledge. Especially in the information age I see that we have so much opportunity to find out our history. So why do we neglect it? I think that we need to review it to know if it is correct.
