I was very surprised recently in a class discussion to find out that many of my peers were sexually abused or misinformed. Unlike what many people think, being informed about your own body and human sexual health does not encourage one to be sexually active. On the contrary, it helps one protect oneself better by understanding better about existing intervetion organizations out there, as well as how one can avoid regrettable results and protect oneself better. Young people who are educated about their bodies make better decisions, are more likely to stay abstinant and less likely to be subjected to unhealthy, abusive relationships. One resource is Sex, Etc., which is written for teens by teens.
