Being a 90’s kid is something I love, things have changed. Before we used to have dodge ball, before we used to have playgrounds that actually had marry-go-rounds and see-saws. Today many things have been changed or altered because they were deemed to dangerous. To me they were fun, they allowed us to do things as kids that let our imagination flow, in my opinion there is a limit to safety when it comes to fun. Today it seems like playgrounds are becoming dull, today most games are electronic where all we do is sit and let our thumbs do all the work. Today it’s as if unless you’re in sports, you don’t get much exercise. You don’t have to be a 90’s kid to remember these things because they don’t have to diminish over time, It would be sad if in the end all the games you played was in front of a TV, no more monkey bar challenges, no more walk-the-plank, and who could forget tag? Lets teach the neighborhood kids the games we knew, lets give a rest to the TV and Video games and be active again, the greatest joy of being a kid wasn’t who had the coolest shoes or who had the fanciest clothes, it was who could run the fastest, or who could hang on the monkey bars the longest. Let’s not forget that, and lets do something before it all goes away.
