I have come a long way from the vulnerable, bullied, helpless girl I once was. I am now independent and confident. I am saying this because I know how hard it is to speak up about those who abuse you, or to reach out for help because you are too afraid. I have been there – the place where the thought of reaching out is not even possible, because I could see a hundred possibilities of myself being hurt, being stepped on and shoved aside. Someone once said: “pain is inevitable but misery is optional.” You would be surprised to learn that majority of successful, happy people have been in immeasurable pains before. But it is a choice for you to make – whether your misery is permanent or not. No, a miserable life is never an assumption anybody should make about their lives. If your current environment is not sufficient to support you, or make you feel safe, find every possible way to get out of it. And I mean it with all possible seriousness. It is not your fault, and it is not permanent. If you love this world, it will love you back.
