Safe Place is a national youth outreach program that has created a network of locations to help runaway and homeless youth. If you need help locating the nearest safe place, you can text the word SAFE and your current location (address, city) to 69866. You can also call us at 1-800-RUNAWAY (1-800-786-2929) for additional assistance.

Upon arriving to a designated Safe Place location, you can expect for an employee to call the nearest Safe Place agency. Usually within 20 to 30 minutes, a Safe Place staff member should be able to come out to meet you and provide you with transportation to a youth service agency or emergency shelter.
