Breakups are hard to deal with regardless of your age, but especially when you’re expected just to get over them. Adults tend to think that breakups during your teen years shouldn’t be taken as hard. You’re young and resilient. Besides, that’s probably just one of many relationships you’ll form in life.

As a person going through a breakup, these may not be the things you want to hear. Maybe you just want to vent. Be allowed to be heard! Express yourself! Not be judged! Getting through a breakup can be even more difficult when you don’t have support. It’s okay to want to talk about it or not talk about it. As individuals, we all process things differently and that’s okay. Sometimes being able to process things with close friends or family members can bring great comfort. Sometimes being able to process things with a complete stranger can also be just as beneficial.

Believe it or not, contacting a hotline like ours can provide you with that outlet. We’re non-directive, non-judgmental, confidential, anonymous, and a great place that provides a listening ear for an situation a teen might be facing.
