As November marks National Runaway Prevention Month, NRS’ Street Team kicked-off the month on November 6, 2008 by having its very own Green Light Project event on Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago.

Thirty-four youth and adult Street Team members passed out close to 500 green light bulbs to pedestrians passing by in less than 30 minutes. Executive Director, Maureen Blaha and youth board representative for NRS were interviewed on the Steven Cochran show that same evening as Street Team members spread the word about National Runaway Prevention Month.
