November marked the eighth annual National Runaway Prevention Month and the NRS Street Team kicked-off the second annual Green Light Project event on November 12, 2009 on Michigan Avenue "Magnificent Mile" in downtown Chicago.

Twenty Street Team members passed out close to 400 green light bulbs to pedestrians passing by in less than 30 minutes. Executive Director, Maureen Blaha had a five-minute interview with WGN-AM radio host Steve Cochran that same evening as Street Team members spread the word about National Runaway Prevention Month.
