On March 6, 2010, NRS donors Tracy and Jane Little hosted a special "Party with a Purpose" at their home in Hudson, Wisconsin, to benefit the National Runaway Switchboard (NRS). In attendance were NRS Board Member John Roy and NRS Executive Director, Maureen Blaha, who spoke about the mission and history of NRS to attendees.
The event was a huge success and included wine and beer, appetizers, raffle items, and a silent auction. The Little’s exceeded their goal of raising $2,500 to benefit runaway and at-risk youth across the country. In addition, not only was the event able to raise funds, it also raised some great developing networks that included inquiries about the NRS Street Team and other business partnerships.
