On April 23, 2011 the National Runaway Switchboard (NRS), with the help of over forty-five participants, raised over $13,000 as runners and walkers in the 2011 Wrigley Start Early 5K/10K/Pledge Walk. NRS’ Running for Runaways team members participated by walking the 1-Mile Pledge walk or running the 5K or 10K. The course began on the sidewalk of Columbus Drive (in downtown Chicago) and finished at the Museum Campus.
