St. Croix, Virgin Islands Teen Hotline visits NRS

On June 16, 2008, NRS received a visit from Lutheran Social Services of the Virgin Islands, Laurie Christians, Director of the Teen Hotline in St. Croix, V.I.  During the visit, she was able to learn more about NRS' 1-800-RUNAWAY crisis line operations.

Although there are no runaway and homeless youth programs funded by the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) in the Virgin Islands, NRS’ 1-800-RUNAWAY crisis number is accessible to runaway and at-risk youth. NRS receives 6-10 calls a year from the Virgin Islands.
