Crisis Intervention
The goal of our Crisis Intervention program is to help you help yourself, and to develop a detailed plan of action that is appropriate for you. We will use active listening skills to help you process your feelings and to handle the facts about your situation. We will ask questions about the nature of your crisis. We might ask about your relationships with the people in your house and details about communication patterns. It is important for us to get a clear understanding of your situation and see it from your perspective. Remember, we don't know you or anything about your life. We don't ask questions to be nosy, but we ask questions to find the source of your trouble.
Sometimes the problem is fairly obvious, but in the middle of a crisis it's hard to know what’s going on. We focus on how to control and manage your crisis situation. A trained front line team member will discuss several options with you and refer you to a local agency or services that can be of assistance. We are here to help you.
