Country singer Jimmy Wayne is no stranger to the experience of not knowing whether there will be a home to come back to at the end of the day. As a youth, Jimmy’s family was broken; his mother was incarcerated in a prison, his dad absent from his life. These experiences, along with the increasing number of people displaced by a lack of housing, inspired Jimmy Wayne to launch the Meet Me Halfway campaign.

In January, Wayne set out to walk, single-handedly, from Nashville, TN to Phoenix, AZ in an effort to raise awareness about the plight of youth made homeless. Money raised from the walk will be donated to charitable organizations that work with homeless youth.
