Many times people hurt others and don’t know why they choose to lash out at other people. I have always believed that when people are hurt for so long, they are too exposed to the pain. Without the knowledge to release that pain, they have the tendency to hurt others to make themselves feel better. Through experience, I have learned that there are many stressors that cause one to continually hurt inside. When people are abused in any way, don’t have a healthy social/family life, or have problems with self-esteem etc., they are usually hurt internally and don’t know how to deal with it.
There are many ways to dealing with these type of problems. Personally I take on my emotions with a more therapeutic approach. I channel my anger through poetry that I write, Jeet Kune Doe lessons, and by finding time to talk to people that comfort and understand me. It is important to learn how to release these emotions in a way that best fits your interest. Find someone that you can speak with about your stress and pain. This will provide you with an outlet and you will be able to dismiss some of your unnecessary stress buildup. Find a time to write down your problems and what makes you unhappy. Find ways to eliminate these things gradually and research resources that will assist you. Doing these things advised, will take a load off of your shoulders and will clear your mind for healthy happy emotions as opposed to ones that aren’t so healthy. A healthy emotion equals a healthy mind!
