What we do at NRS may seem contradictory at times and cause some confusion. We’re here to help you do what you want to do, provide resources and support, but we will be the first to tell you that we do not give advice. That may sound strange, I know.
For those of you familiar with Batman, you probably know who I am referring to when I mention the name Alfred. He is Batman’s dependable butler, always at the ready with tools for the superhero’s escapades and not afraid to confront him about the dangers of his adventures. Not unlike Alfred, NRS is equipped with a nationwide database of resources to support you and its many callers with your various needs. And, at the core of NRS’s mission is the intent to ensure you are safe in carrying out your plans.
To do that, sometimes we will ask questions to keep you aware of the risks involved and the possible consequences that could come of your decisions. Ultimately, though, it is up to you to make the choice and do what you feel most comfortable doing.
You’re Batman and we’re Alfred. Corny? Maybe. But, no matter what you decide to do, we’ll always be here to listen when you want to talk, ready to give you the tools you need.
