Donor of the Month – October, 2016: The Wolfort Family Foundation
The National Runaway Safeline (NRS) would like to recognize The Wolfort Family Foundation, as our Donor of the Month! Their support dates back to October of 2011 when Erica Wolfort became a volunteer in our crisis services center. Four years and ten months later, Erica is not only a “liner,” but a member of the Spirit of Youth Task Force, and Executive Board. She has gotten her family involved in her philanthropic efforts at NRS by solidifying sponsorship for the annual Spirit of Youth benefit, and personally coming in as sponsors themselves. In fact, they have already committed to sponsoring Spirit of Youth 2017. NRS is constantly impressed with their compassion and commitment. When asked about their experience supporting the National Runaway Safeline, here is what they said:
“For me, NRS has been a wonderful a place to go to within my community that is filled with like-minded, kind-hearted individuals all working toward the common goal of helping those that someone else wouldn’t. I am continually inspired by the dedication of the volunteers and staff at NRS, in their efforts to keep the youth of America safe.”
– Erica Wolfort
“Mr. Wolfort and I are very proud that Erica has chosen to participate actively in a charitable cause that means so much to her. We’re equally proud that she is representing the Wolfort family as a leader in philanthropy.”
It feels fitting to recognize such an exceptional donor during National Runaway Prevention Month. It is people like Erica and her family that allow us to continue our mission to keep America’s runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth safe and off the streets.
