NRS Presents on Runaway Youth Services at International Event, Child Helpline International.
Gordon Vance, the National Runaway Safeline’s (NRS) Director of Programs, was sponsored to attend in Child Helpline International,* the leadership in empowering and activating child helplines to protect children online (LEAP) meeting held in collaboration with UNICEF, and PLAN International,. Gordon presented about NRS’ services to an international audience.
*Child Helpline International (CHI) is a global network of 183 child helplines in 142 countries. NRS has been a member of CHI since 2005.
The meeting is part of UNICEF’s global program to build capacity to tackle online child sexual exploitation which is supported by the United Kingdom’s (UK) government as part of the #WePROTECT Model National Response initiative launched by UK Prime Minister David Cameron in 2014.
