NRS seeks to hire a dynamic and experienced Director of Crisis Services (DCS) who is inspired by the opportunity to contribute to the efforts that ensure America’s runaway, homeless and at-risk youth are safe and off the streets. The DCS will be a critical member of the NRS Leadership Team, overseeing day-to-day Crisis Services Center (CSC) operations and its associated data collection and reporting systems. This includes supervision of the Crisis Services Team to ensure consistent and effective delivery of CSC services offered to youth who have run away, are experiencing homelessness, and/or are in crisis and their families.
The ideal candidate brings superior people management skills, a high level of energy and innovation and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, effective written and oral communication skills, and a nuanced understanding of NRS’ diverse and broad audiences will be key for success in this role. This position reports to the Chief Program Officer, will serve as a key member of the organization’s Leadership Team and will be instrumental in ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery of NRS’ services.
The Director of Crisis Services position is based in Chicago and will be temporarily remote during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Evening and weekend hours will be required, including some regular on-call responsibilities.
