Runaway Prevention Strategies in a Virtual World:
Using “Let’s Talk” Remotely
Please join us for the last of our three-part NRPM Lunch & Learn Series, titled Runaway Prevention Strategies in a Virtual World: Using “Let’s Talk” Remotely, on Thursday, December 3, 2020 @ 11:30 am CST. Register below to receive the Zoom link to attend.
Led by National Runaway Safeline (NRS) Chief Program Officer, Lee Osipchak, this session will focus on the NRS Let’s Talk: Runaway Prevention Curriculum, a free, interactive, 14-module curriculum intended to educate young people about building life skills, accessing runaway resources, finding prevention alternatives to running away, and seeking help from trusted community members.
While the curriculum can be used in any number of settings, few have tried to implement it virtually, distant from the youth being served. However, the curriculum can be equally effective used remotely as in person, perfect for interactions available in today’s virtual world.
Grab lunch, invite your friends & colleagues, and learn more about this unique lens through which we can better understand youth homelessness in this virtual discussion.
