“I am seventeen and turning 18 this May. I have gotten into my top choice college and have gathered enough scholarships and financial aid to help me pay for it without my parents’ help. However, my mother had thrown away all my acceptance letters when she found out. I have been only able to save some. I have been also depressed for a year now, and the fights between my family and I are making me want to resort to self-harm. I want to run away and seek a safe shelter. I feel like if I stay here, I will start resorting to self-harm and I won’t get to have a college education. Is there any place or anyone that could help me?“

Without our generous donors, NRS could not ensure that frontline team members are ready to respond to youth 24 hours a day, seven days a week. NRS is here to listen, here to help. Thank you to our March Donors for their support of critical services:
